These conical KF-to-Tri-Clamp adapters, also known as Tri-Clover adapters, are designed to provide a seamless connection between vacuum and sanitary systems. Tri-Clamp fittings are a type of sanitary connection commonly used in industries requiring fast, secure, and hygienic piping solutions. The durable stainless steel construction offers corrosion resistance, low-temperature resistance, high-temperature ductility, and low magnetic permeability. This concentric reducer is made of sanitary 304L stainless steel with a high-gloss polish. Operating temperature and maximum pressure: The temperature range is 0 to 176F, and the maximum working pressure is 85 PSI. Clamps attach to both ends of the hose to create a non-permanent seal that allows access for removal. The diameter of a concentric reducer decreases toward the center, forming a conical cylindrical shape. One end is 2" TC and the other end is 4" TC. A reducer provides a uniform, smooth connection between sanitary fittings of two different sizes and minimizes movement. A concentric reducer is commonly installed inline for vertical flow applications or horizontally as a flow-direction booster. We recommend not using a concentric reducer for horizontal reduction because liquid may accumulate. For horizontal applications, an eccentric reducer with one flat side is preferred when reducing in the flow direction.
