Product images are illustrative; the supplied cut pieces may differ from them. Alloy C-276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with an addition of tungsten. It also contains small amounts of carbon and silicon. The material is suitable for cold and hot forming and has excellent resistance to pitting, crevice, and stress corrosion. Material 2.4819 is resistant to mineral and organic acids, as well as seawater, moist chlorine gas, and chloride solutions. The grade has good weldability and can be welded using all common welding processes. Alloy C-276 is used primarily in the chemical industry, for example in the production and processing of acids. It is also frequently used in environmental technology, including waste incineration and flue-gas desulfurization plants. Other typical applications of Hastelloy C-276 include the paper and pulp industry, oil and natural gas extraction, and equipment and components for sour-gas applications. Alloy C-276 is characterized by good suitability for cold and hot forming, excellent resistance to pitting, crevice, and stress corrosion, resistance to mineral and organic acids, seawater, moist chlorine gas, and chloride solutions, and good weldability.
